15. Apr Ville Lope & Chantola – Blowfish [Green Martian]
Last summer I was asked to do a remix for a new finnish producer duo I had never heard of before, Spiritus & Asper. The other half of the project fell in love with my track Those Mellow Moments, and asked me to do a remix of their unsigned track Passion.
I admired the enthusiasm of the young man contacting me, so I did the remix – and asked them to do a remix in favor. Later the duo did a remix of my solo release Gratitude (released in early 2009 on Subtraxx). I liked the way things just lead to another, so it was logical to keep on doing things together with this youngling, Chantola.
After swapping some project files, samples and what not’s over the internet, we finally met as I visited Chantola in Turku, Finland. We did the final mixdown for the track and the final result was something Bonzai was interested in.
Chantola decided to do a remix of the track with his primary project, Spiritus & Asper, while I used the option to get a Airwave production as a remix. We both decided it’s time to get a remix from his Planisphere disguise – and we couldn’t be happier about the output.
The whole release is now from Beatport, and soon from your other favourite digital stores, such as Audiojelly and iTunes (and many more).
