19. Jan No more in Finity
At the end of the year 2008 I did one of the hardest decisions I have had to make in recent years. I decided to leave Finity.
There were couple of different small reasons which added up. I’ve been thinking of this for quite a while, and in early december I finally made up my mind about leaving. On 1st of December I left my notice, December 31st being my last day in Finity.
The final bit helping me to be sure about my decision was that I really wanted to concentrate more into my own productions and remixes. I have had a wonderful past 6 months in studio and the hard work is finally paying off. I’ll tell you more about those things in near future, so stay focused and read my RSS-feed.
I want to thank Mikko Peräkylä, the head of Finity for the past 3 years and some. I’ve learned a lot, and without Finity’s help I feel I wouldn’t be in this position I am at the moment.
Thank you for believing in me in the start when I came to help Finity without mentionable career in Electronic Music. Thank you for picking up Those Mellow Moments to be a part of the high quality back catalogue of Finity.
I want to thank people at ETN.fm, Sense.fm and Pure.fm who have been the home of Finity Essentials radioshow I hosted for 34 monthly episodes in a row.
I want to thank the guest artists involved in the radioshow.
I thank the artists and remixers of Finity – You’ve all been a source of joy and happiness for me. I full heartly wish all good to you in your future. Let the next release be even bigger than the previous ones.
I know the future of Finity will be bright even though I won’t be a part of it anymore. Concentrating the releases to high quality finnish artists and releases has been a good way to break into wider audience. Finity releases have been played by all the top jocks out there – it shows how wide the sound of the label really is.
There is still wide range of quality releases in the Finity pipeline that you will most definately hear my “stamp of approval” in them.
The future shows if I did a right decision or not, but I feel no regret. I wish Finity all the best in the future.
