The summer is long gone and I’ve returned from my relaxing holiday. I stayed on vacation from my day job two days longer than I originally intended, as we booked a holiday in Cyprus - The returning flight departed in early Tuesday, so I was back at the office on Wednesday.
Aside of having a vacation from day job, I’ve haven’t been producing that much I originally thought, the reason mainly being that I haven’t been home that much.
Remixes and collabs
Now I’m busier in studio than ever. I’m doing the finishing touches to my Airwave - Punjabi Child remix. It has already been approved to the release, so now I can just concentrate to polish the sound to be as pro as possible.
This summer I made a collab with uprising talent Chantola, who is also known as the other part of duo Spiritus & Asper. “Blowfish” is a laid back progressive housey track. It’s 98% ready at the moment and we’re still undecided what to do with the finished track.
Those two tracks are ment to be finished this week, since next week I’m starting two different remixes, both to due until the end of September. First one is a track from Tempo Giusto to his own Echelon Records
. The other one is much bigger case that isn’t 100% sure, so I’m not reveal the details, but If everything goes well it’s going to be a big thing in my career.
Gig coming up
I’m also having my first gig under my own name on September 13th as I’m heading back to Seinäjoki to celebrate the first anniversary of Fiksaatio. I played at the afterparty of the first Fiksaatio event, played the opening slot in January 2008 and now I’m booked to play at the afterparty again.
This time the afterparty venue holds 300 clubbers and I’m eagerly awaiting to play some bassheavy tracks there. The other afterparty sets are played by Deck Jagger and one of the top hard trance names in Finland, Neon.
Nevertheless, the main event has a great lineup too. Less than a week from hosting the biggest club event in Scandinavia, the main man of Club Colors and now well know artist from Tiesto’s stables, Alex Kunnari is going to headline at the main event. He’s is given support by praised live act Syna and DJ Shanon.
Featured on national radio
I’m being invited to do a featured track in Tiistain Tanssi-ilta, the well known dance music radioshow on national radiostation Ylex. This will take place later on November so I’ll be informing you later on.
