18. Apr Blogging producers?
One thing I’ve really been waiting for, is the rise in amount of well known artists/DJ/producer bloggers.
I read blogs of such guys like John 00 Fleming and Airwave, but now also Allende has shown his skills as an active blogger. Miika Kuisma was previously an active blogger, but he seems to be concentrating blogging his personal thoughts in Facebook, not on public blog.
Allende, born Anssi Hohti, is one of Finity’s artists with his a98 moniker is now showing not only writing skills but also showing balls to raise new topics to be talked about.
His recent post about producers and producing today and how labels are and/or should work is really inspiring to read. He has a point, and he is right with his thoughts.
Today when music is done (almost) completely with computers, and producers have to be skilled with information technology and most people in the business are doing their business via internet, I wonder why there isn’t more well known bloggers in the scene.
Setting up a blog to one’s website isn’t that hard. And everyone already has a Myspace account anyway, right?
Short stories of ones trips to exotic venues or something like that can be delightful to read, if written well. But also, I’m expecting to find blog written by known names, and written with fresh insight.
It can be abot sharing studio techniques, having a statement against record labels, other producers or a phenomena in scene or just being critical over your own productions. Blogs with individual sights about this scene and fresh information is really much needed these days.
